For years I endured pain in my right knee. Steps were a dreaded enemy, especially going downstairs.

For years I endured pain in my right knee. Steps were a dreaded enemy, especially going downstairs. I took OTC pain meds, but relief was brief and minimal. If I tried to walk from the parking lot into Walmart, my left leg hurt from my hip to my foot. As a last resort, I tried water exercise at SPAT. In just a few months, I noticed that I could walk and even climb stairs with less pain. After six months the pain was gone completely. I no longer had to fear knee replacements. My arms were also strengthened, enabling me to carry heavy grocery bags up the steps and do yard work for which I previously had no strength or energy. It wasn’t magic-just a rebuilding of my own muscles and bones. I needed the expertise and encouragement at SPAT to be healthy and active in my senior years.
